I took these last night before we started on Web's room. The room was even more horrible than we originally thought. Notice the following...

1) This room has no baseboards whatsoever. It goes from carpet to wall.
2) Notice the shoddy "patch work" in the pictures. They didn't even smooth some areas. Just painted over it.
3) The windows. Need I say more?
4) Please take your time to view the awesome yellow outlet and switch covers. Fabulous? No.
We will be re-painting the room white (don't forget... it's an apartment) with Behr Ultra Pure White Enamel and installing beautiful plantation baseboards that we picked up from Home Depot. We are also switching out the switch cover with one that will match the baseboards. We aren't bothering with the outlet covers since they will all be covered by Web's furniture (thank God).
Oh yeah... I almost forgot! We also picked up white plantation blinds (faux wood) from Home Depot too! The ones this room had were plastic, cracked and yellowing (shocker).
While smoothing down the nail holes and preparing the base of the walls for the baseboards, we found that the people who sealed the corners of the walls threw putty and paint up, and let it run down to the bottom and then decided to just leave it there. So, before putting the baseboards up, we are chipping away the years of old crap that was left behind. It's truly heinous. But we will make this room sooooo much better than when we found it! Yay!
