Dear Bug,
I cannot believe you are already 8 months old! I swear, every morning I wake up and it seems like, overnight, something has changed about you. Your eyes are still as blue as the day you were born and your hair is getting longer so much that we may not make it til your first birthday to give it a trim. Here is a list of all the things you can do:
1. Crawl. You're faster than I am and you get into everything. The cat's water bowl is your favorite!
2. Pull Up. You pull up on everything from the TV hutch to the legs of people standing near you. You love to stand and bounce up and down as much as possible.
3. Cruise. You've been cruising for a while, but this month, you really have it down.
4. Assisted walking. YES. You're walking where ever you can while pushing a walker. You did it at daycare with their walker and you did it this past weekend with your farm barn (even though it's not really made for that). But you did it. And you liked it!
5. Let's talk food. You want adult food (or big boy food). For the past month, it's been WWIII to get you to eat your pureed dinner every.single.night. We finally got so frusterated that mommy cut up her spaghetti last Monday and gave it to you. YOU LOVED IT. You ate as much as you could fit in your tiny hands and just shoved it into your mouth. I do believe that more ended up in your tummy than your highchair (which is amazing).
6. You "babble" more and more every day. You're still not forming consonants and vowels together, but you do a lot of "Aaaaahhhh" and "Mmmmmmm." Oh yeah... a lot of razzing too.
7. You're still not sleeping "completely" through the night, but we DID have our best night ever! On the night of February 12, 2010, you went to bed at 7 pm and slept till 5:30 am! Yay you! Now we are just waking up once a night to eat and maybe a second time because of gas or congestion.
So, in conclusion, you're way ahead of the game. Could you slow down please? You're growing way too fast for mommy and daddy and it's making us sad that you are no longer a baby. You're heading into toddler-ville way too fast. Please mind the signs and slow down.
Love, Mommy
Here are some pictures of Web from Saturday morning (look at how cute he is in his "old man" jammies):
We also took Web to the Houston Downtown Aquarium this weekend! I've never heard Web as quiet as he was while looking at all of the fish. I do believe fish and water are his favorite things!
